When Something Goes Wrong

  • Avoid using the item if continuing to do so could make the situation worse
  • If any warning signs appear, such as alarms, indicators, or unusual behavior, stop using the item and take appropriate action
  • Take advantage of any support services included in your coverage.
  • Present your service contract to the relevant service provider or repair facility
  • Ask the service provider to contact Merit Administration before proceeding with any work

Emergency Repairs Outside Of Business Hours

If you have emergency repairs performed outside of regular business hours without prior authorization:

  • Contact Merit Administration immediately after the completion of the emergency repair

Authorization:

The following requirements must be met for emergency repairs:

  • The repairs are urgently required, and the administrator’s office is closed
  • The item is inoperable or unsafe due to mechanical failure or breakdown
  • The issue is covered under your service contract
  • The total cost of repair and/or replacement cannot exceed $300

Roadside Assistance Services

Built In Benefits

Your Merit Administration Service Contract also includes 24/7/365 Roadside Assistance. Roadside Assistance benefits are provided by Auto Knight Motor Club Inc.

Towing

Coverage for towing service if your vehicle cannot be started or driven

Lockout

If the roadside assistance administrator dispatch center is unable to offer the benefits stated in the contract for any reason, you may get an authorization number from the dispatch center to use at your preferred service provider. On presentation of the original paid service provider receipt, the roadside assistance administrator will refund you up to $75 or the amount specified in your contract. To be eligible for payment, you must have an authorisation number

Battery

Coverage for battery recharging services if the battery for your vehicle fails

Emergency Flat Tire

Coverage for service to change an inflated spare if your vehicle has a flat or damaged tire

Fuel Delivery

Coverage for a service vehicle to deliver oil, fuel, or water in case it is necessary for the operation of your vehicle. You are responsible for the cost of the oil and fuel. If the local state regulations prohibit the delivery of flammable materials (e.g., gas), you may have your vehicle towed to the nearest gas station

Rental & Trip Interruption:

Your vehicle service contract provides rental car and trip interruption reimbursement for authorized and covered claims. See your plan for details

Rental Car

Your Merit Administration Vehicle Service Contract provides rental car reimbursement: As soon as the repair estimate is received, and coverage is determined. If your vehicle becomes inoperable and must remain at the repair facility as a result of an authorized mechanical breakdown or failure authorized for four (4) or more hours of labor. You must have an authorized and coverable claim to receive rental car reimbursement

How Do I Get A Rental?

Your Merit Administration Service Contract provides rental car coverage, when applicable, from any licensed vehicle rental company of your choice. Many repair facilities have loaner cars or have a rental facility on-site. However, if your repair facility does not provide rental cars, contact your local rental car company, and retain your receipt

Trip Interruption

Your Merit Administration Vehicle Service Contract provides motel/restaurant expense coverage: As soon as the repair estimate is received, and coverage is determined If your vehicle becomes inoperable more than 100 miles from your home and must remain at the repair facility overnight as a result of an authorized mechanical breakdown or failure. You must have an authorized and coverable claim to receive trip interruption reimbursement
